For a long time I've been looking for a practical but qualitative chessboard model, so I present you the one I modeled! Here is a functional chessboard model composed of 4 parts: a base, a box to store the pieces, the lid with the first part of the squares, and the last one that contains the squares of the other color. The model of the pieces I used is the one from Samuel-Tinkerer: Windows 7 Chess Titans Hacked (Extracted) Chess Piece Models. I then glued together the box and the lid with the squares (as you can see on the pictures) but just the lid can form a chess board by itself. It measures 12 cm / 12.5 cm and 3 cm high. Hope you like it :) Ps: if one of the counters doesn't turn out right during printing, you can always find it by importing the file to a modeling site and extruding all the other counters.
