The NBA launched its much-anticipated In-Season Tournament on Nov. 3, and the early returns suggest the league made the right call in instituting the monthlong event. The unique court designs drew much of the attention, but the play looked as good as ever, such as Peyton Watson’s dunk for Denver in a win over the Mavericks at Ball Arena. Overall, ESPN averaged 1.72 million viewers on Nov. 3 for its first two games, a 35% increase from the network’s average Friday games last November.
