Há muito tempo atrás, a civilização humana vivia no fundo do oceano. No entanto, haviam muitos humanos que desejavam se mudar e viver na superfície. Isso criou uma separação entre os humanos. Após o fechamento da escola do mar, quatro estudantes de lá tiveram que se mudar para uma escola da superfície.
