Antique Simon and Halbig doll for Handwerck. Measures approximately 24 inches tall. She has beautiful brown glass sleep eyes with painted upper and lower lashes. Painted and molded eyebrows. Open mouth with four upper teeth . Pierced ears. Head is incised with: S&H Halbig 91/2. She has an antique wood and composition ball jointed body with Heinrich Handwerck Germany red stamp at the back. She is wearing an antique pink cotton dress, antique cotton pinafore, antique undergarments, antique socks, antique shoes, replica French human hair wig, cardboard pate and an antique brooch/pin. Turn of the century doll. She is beautiful and she will make a love addition to an antique doll collection.Condition: No hairlines, one small wig pull at the back upper rim, paint rubs, Body has some wear but original painted finish, repaired/restored fingers, Nicely strung, one knee ball joint is an antique replacement, Clothing in mostly good condition but the pink dress does have a tear at the bodice - hidden by pinafore. Sweet and very pretty doll!
